Answer:

the total resistance is 5+10+15volt =30volt

it is series combination so current is same while the potential difference is different

current (I) is 0.4amphere.

now by ohms law

V=IR

so V=0.4*5=2v

V=0.4*10=04v

V=0.4*15=6volt..

Answer:

Rs = 30 Ω

Current in Circuit I  = 0.4 A

Voltage drop across R1  =2V

Voltage drop across R2 =4V

Voltage drop across R3 =6V

Explanation:

Given: First resistance = R1 =5Ω

Second resistance R2 =10Ω,

And third resistance R3 =15Ω

V = 12 Volt

Effective resistance of series combination.

Rs =R1 +R2 +R3

=5 + 10 + 15

= 30 Ω

Now, V = IR

Current in Circuit I= V/Rs= 12/30 = 0.4 A

Voltage drop across R1 , V1 =IR1 =0.4 ×5=2V

Voltage drop across R2 , V2 =IR2 =0.4 × 10=4V

Voltage drop across R3 , V3 =IR3 =0.4 ×15=6V
