Hysteresis. The portion of OA of the curve is obtained when magnetizing current I is increased and AR is the portion when the current is decreased.

• The degree or extent to which something is dissolved or absorbed compared with the maximum possible, usually expressed as a percentage.

• "this mixture should give a reading of 45 to 50 per cent saturation". To a very full extent, especially beyond the point regarded as necessary or desirable.

• Eminence or Retentively: The ability of a material to retain magnetization, equal to the magnetic flux density of the material after the removal of the magnetizing field. The ability of a material to retain magnetization, equal to the magnetic flux density of the material after the removal of the magnetizing field.

• Coactivity: The resistance of a magnetic material to changes in magnetization, equivalent to the field intensity necessary to demagnetize the fully magnetized material.

• Hysteresis loop: A closed curve showing the variation of the magnetic flux density of a ferromagnetic material with the external magnetic field producing it, when this field is changed through a complete cycle.
