cartilages are connective tissues connecting one bone to another. They mainly contain chondrocytes in lacunae (spaces). examples: hyaline cartilage, septal cartilage, major alar cartilage,etc.
chondrocytes are the cartilage forming cells. they are observed as blue coloured particles under a microscope. they are surrounded by the perichondrium.
