x²-6x+9=0

(-3)²-6(-3)+9=0

9+18+9=0

36=0

but it is not true

as LHS is not equal to RHS

so,

x=-3 is not the solution

instead

x=3

is the correct solution

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

x² - 6x + 9 =  0

x²-3x-3x+9=0

x(x-3) + 3(x-3) =0

(x-3)×(x-3) = 0

  x-3 =0

             x=3
