TO SOLVE THIS, WE MUST KNOW ABOUT "Zero Exponent Rule"

Zero Exponent Rule :

If you raise a nonzero number to the power of  0 , the result is  1.

Example :

a⁰ = 1 (a ≠ 0)

Let's solve problem now:

Question : 6⁰ - 7⁰ - 5⁰

We know :

6⁰ = 1

7⁰ = 1

5⁰ = 1

Answer :

6⁰ - 7⁰ - 5⁰

= 1 - 1 - 1

= 0 - 1

= -1

Answer:-

To Simplify:-

6⁰ - 7⁰ - 5⁰

_____________...

Process:-

6⁰ - 7⁰ - 5⁰

= 1 - 1 - 1

[Since x⁰ = 1; where x ≠ 0.]

= 0 - 1= - 1 (...Ans.)

∴ 6⁰ - 7⁰ - 5⁰ = - 1

More:-

Laws of exponents:-

  • x^m • x^n = (x)^m+n
  • x^m - x^n = (x)^m-n
  • x-ⁿ = 1/xⁿ
  • x⁰ = 1 (Applied in this answer)
  • (x/y)ⁿ = xⁿ/yⁿ
