I would like to draw your attention a bit away from the local day-to-day city life towards a bit more compact and crowded area which is more populated but has less space, slums.
Slums nowadays are spreading more than the planned townships. The life in the slums is miserable. A single house in a slum comprises of a small living room and a bathroom. In such small houses at least 4 to 5 people live in a very unhygienic manner which is the major cause of spreading of diseases among them. Slums have a common toilet which adds to the spread of diseases. Hence, in slums crowded living, lack of drinking water, insanitary conditions, poor power supply etc. has caused a lot of suffering to the people living there.
It would be of great help if you provide a space for this cause in the national daily asking the higher authorities for solutions and immediate action to decrease the sufferings of the people living there.
