So, To find the volu
Volume of cuboid = length
Volume of cube = side x side x side
Hence, the unit of measurement of either of the two is cubic unit.
Let's solve a question
A matchbox measures 4 cm x 2.5 cm x 1.5 cm. What will be the volume of 12 such boxes?
Solution:- Measures of matchbox is 4 cm x 2.5 cm x 1.5 cm
So, length (1) = 4 cm, breadth (b) = 2.5 cm and height (h)=1.5 cm
Volume of Matchbox = 1 × b × h = 4 * 2.5 1.5 = 15 cm
Volume of 12 such boxes = 12 x 15 = 180 cm3
Now you try
1 Length breadth and height of a cuboidal room are 5 meter , 4 meter and 3 meter respectively,
find the volume of the room.
2 A cubical box has each edge (side) 10 cm. Find the volume of the box.
