3. Solve 2x-3=11 and 5x+y=2, by substitution method.

Given :-

2x - 3 = 11

5x + y = 2

Solution :-

2x - 3 = 11

2x = 11 + 3

2x = 14

x = 14/2

x = 7

5x + y = 2

(5×7) + y = 2

35 + y = 2

y = 2 - 35

y = - 33
