      2n + 16 = 4 - n

     2n + n = 4 - 16

     3n = 14

     n = \frac{14}{3}

     n = 4.7

            2n-n=4-16

              n=-12

            check

         2n+16=4-n

        2*-12+16=4-12

        -24+16=4-12

           -8=-8

       therefor n=-12
