3. Solve the following problems.
a) Ramayya's house is at a distance of 4 km 326 m from his field. One day he
went to his field on a cart a distance of 2 k.m 850 m. and the rest of the distance
by foot. What is the distance he walked on that day?​

Given,

Total distance to house = 4 km 326 m = 4326 m

Distance travelled by cart = 2 km 850 m = 2850 m

Rest of the distance is travelled by foot.

Distance travelled by foot = total distance - distance travelled by cart

= 4326 - 2850

= 1476 m

Therefore, distance he walked is 1 km 476 m.
