  • x - 2y = 0.........(i)
  • 3x + 4y = 20.........(ii)

form (i)

=> x = 2y ........(iii)

substitute the value of x in (ii)

=> 3(2y) + 4y = 20

=> 6y + 3y = 20

=> 10y = 20

=> y = 20/10

=> y = 2

now, substitute the value of y in (iii)

=> x = 2 × 2

=> x = 4

so, value of y is 2 and value of x is 4
