Answer:

in first case,

As body is starting from rest, u=0

final velocity =6m/s

given time in first case =30 seconds

a =(v-u)÷t

=6÷30

=1/5m/s2----------------------------(1)

in second case,

u=6m/s

v=4m/s

t=5 seconds

a=(4-6)/5

=-2/5m/s2-----------------------------(2)

adding (1) and (2),

=1/5+(-2/5)

=1/5-2/5

= -1/5m/s2
