Newton's law of cooling states that the rate of heat loss of a body is proportional to the difference in temperatures between the body and its surroundings i.e., dQ/dt=−b1(T−Ts), d Q / d t = − b 1 ( T − T s ) , where T is the temperature of the body, Ts is the temperature of the surrounding and b1 is heat transfer .
