Identity used:

 \sec {}^{2} (  \theta  )  -  \tan {}^{2} ( \theta )  = 1

Solved in detail:

 \ tan{}^{2} (  \theta  )   =   2\sec {}^{2} (  \theta  )  -  2\tan {}^{2} ( \theta )   +  1

 \tan {}^{2} (  \theta  )   = 2 + 1

 \tan {}^{2} (  \theta  )  = 3

 \tan  (  \theta  )  =  \sqrt{3}

 \theta = 60
