According to this formula we can find Arithmetic mean

$\\ \implies\sf{A.M=\dfrac{sum \: of \: all \: observation }{Total \: number \: of \: observation }}$

$\\ \implies \sf \: 8 = \frac{6 + 10 + x + 12}{4} \\ \\ \implies \sf \: 8 = \frac{16 + x + 12}{4} \\ \\ \implies \sf \: 8 \times 4 = 28 + x \\ \\ \implies \sf \: 32 - 28 - x = 0 \\ \\ \implies \sf \: 4 - x = 0 \\ \\ \implies \sf \: x - 4 = 0 \\ \\ \implies \boxed { \sf{x = 4}}$
