(i) we know,

area of rectangle = l x b

300 = 15 x l

l = 300/15

l = 20 m

(ii) perimeter = 2 (l+b)

                     = 2 (20+15) = 2 (35)

                     = 70 m

Answer:

  • Its length = 20 m
  • Its perimeter = 70 m

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:

  • The area of a rectangular field is 300 m².
  • Its breadth is 15 m.

To Find:

  • Its length.
  • Its perimeter.

Formula used:

  • Area of rectangle = (Length × Breadth)
  • Perimeter of rectangle = 2(Length + Breadth)

Finding the length of rectangle:

Area of rectangle = (Length × Breadth)

→ 300 m² = (Length × 15 m)

→ Length = (300 m²)/(15 m)

→ Length = 20 m

Finding the perimeter of rectangle:

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 2(Length + Breadth)
  • Perimeter of rectangle = 2(20 m + 15 m)
  • Perimeter of rectangle = 2(35 m)
  • Perimeter of rectangle = 70 m
