Given :-

Area of rectangular field :- 300 cm²

Breadth of rectangular field :- 15 metres

\:

To Find :-

  • Length of the field.
  • Perimeter of the field.

\:

Formula required :-

Length of the field :-

{\tt \large \dashrightarrow \orange{\boxed{\tt \gray{\dfrac{Area \: of \: Rectangle}{Breadth \: of \: Rectangle}}}}}

Perimeter of the field :-

{\tt \large \dashrightarrow \orange{\boxed{\tt \gray{2 \: (Length + Breadth)}}}}

\:

How to do :-

Here, we are given with the area of the rectangular field and the breadth of the same field. We should find the length and perimetre of the field. The formula used for finding both of them are given above. In the second formula, we should multiply the sum of length and breadth with two because, there are two lengths and two breadths in a rectangle.

\:

Solution :-

Length of the field :-

{\tt \leadsto \dfrac{300}{15}}

{\tt \leadsto \cancel \dfrac{300}{15} = \boxed{\tt 20 \: \: Metres}}

Perimeter of the field :-

{\tt \leadsto 2 \: (20 + 15)}

{\tt \leadsto 2 \: (35) = 2 \times 35}

{\tt \leadsto 70 \: \: Metres}

More to know :-

  • Area of the shape means the space occupied by a particular shape. It's always written in square cms or metres.
  • Perimetre is the boundary of the shape which is not written as square numbers, but it will be written as same.
