Here in this question, concept of area of right angled triangle is used. We are given area of right angled triangle to be 62cm² and length of one side ( next to right angle) is given to be 12.4cm. We have to find the other side which is adjacent to right angle. This statement gives us the information that height of triangle is 12.4cm and we have to find base length of triangle.

So let's start!!

We have formula for right angled ∆:

★ Area of triangle=1/2×Base×Height

Now put the given values

⇒ 62cm²=1/2×12.4cm×Base

⇒ 62×2/12.4cm=base

By solving it we get:

⇒ 10cm=Base

So the required length of side of triangle is 10cm.
