Given :

  • Area of four walls of a room is 120 m.
  • Height is 4 m.
  • Length of the room is twice its bread.

To Find :

  • Area of floor ?

Solution :

According to the question :-

☯︎ Let the breadth of walls = x

☯︎ Let the length of walls = 2x

☯︎ Height = 4m

◆ We know that,

Area of the four walls = 2(l + b) h

Now, substitute the values :-

120 = 2(2x + x) 4

120 = 2 (3x) 4

120 = 8 (3x)

120 / 8 = 3x

15 = 3x

x = 15 / 3

x = 5

Hence, breadth is 5 m.

So, Length is 2x = 2 × 5 = 10 m.

We know that,

Area of floor = length × Breadth

Now, substitute the values :-

10 × 5

50 m²

Hence, the area of the floor is 50 .
