★ Given :
- Area of four walls of a room is 120 m.
- Height is 4 m.
- Length of the room is twice its bread.
★ To Find :
- Area of floor ?
★ Solution :
According to the question :-
☯︎ Let the breadth of walls = x
☯︎ Let the length of walls = 2x
☯︎ Height = 4m
◆ We know that,
Area of the four walls = 2(l + b) h
Now, substitute the values :-
↦ 120 = 2(2x + x) 4
↦ 120 = 2 (3x) 4
↦ 120 = 8 (3x)
↦ 120 / 8 = 3x
↦ 15 = 3x
↦ x = 15 / 3
↦ x = 5
■ Hence, breadth is 5 m.
■ So, Length is 2x = 2 × 5 = 10 m.
◆ We know that,
Area of floor = length × Breadth
Now, substitute the values :-
↦ 10 × 5
↦ 50 m²
■ Hence, the area of the floor is 50 m².
