Answer:

(a) 9.8m/s²

(b) 49m/s

(c) 24.5m/s

(d) 122.5m

Explanation:

Given,

Time (t) = 5se

Initial Velocity (u) = 0 ;    (starting from rest)

Acceleration (a) = g = 9.8m/s² ;           (The object is undergoing freefall)

We know that,

⇒ v = u + at

⇒ v = 0 + 9.8 * 5

      = 49m/s

We also know that,

⇒ S = ut + 1/2at²

⇒ S = 0 + 1/2 * 9.8 * 5²

       = 122.5m

We have,

Average Velocity = Total Displacement/Time taken

                             = 122.5/5

                             = 24.5m/s

I hope that this helps you, mate!
