Answer:

L.C.M of 16 and 12 =48

C.P of 16 articles =Rs.48

∴∴C.P of 1 article =Rs.48÷16=Rs.48÷16

=3=3

S.P of 12 articles =Rs. 48

S.P of 1 article =Rs.48÷12Rs.48÷12

=Rs.4=Rs.4

Gain on one article =Rs.4−Rs.3=Rs.4−Rs.3

=Rs=1=Rs=1

Gain %=TotalgainC.P%=TotalgainC.P×100×100

=13=13×100×100

=3313%=3313%

Answer : gain3313%

cost price of 16 =selling price of 12

it means

CP is greater then SP (CP > SP) . So, loss has occurred.

Hence ,

loss %= (cp-sp/sp)*100

= (16 - 12/12)*100

= (4/12) * 100

= 33 (1/3)%
