After getting mixed with the undigested foods it usually will look brown.
If for some reason or another bile excretion is hampered by an obstruction of the bile ducts (bile duct stones, tumor in or pressing on the bile ducts, swollen gallbladder or pancreas pressing on the bile ducts, obstruction in the smaller bile ducts in the liver due to viral hepatitis or toxic side effect of drugs/toxins), the feces will have an off-white color.
Only some very intense colors which remain unchanged after passage through our digestive tract will remain visible in our stools, e.g. red beet (causing lots of panic in some people), green spinach (dark green) but usually not.
