Solution

Given :-

  • Diameter of circular pipe = 7 cm
  • Length of circular pipe = 12 cm

Find :-

  • Inner C.S.A.
  • Volume of circular pipe

Explanation

Using Formula

C.S.A. of circular pipe = 2πrh

Volume of circular pipe = π × /4 × h

So, First Calculate,

==> C.S.A. of circular pipe = 2πrh

where,

  • π = 22/7
  • r = 7/2 = 3.5 cm
  • h = 12 cm

So,

==>C.S.A. of circular pipe = 2 × 22/7 × 3.5 × 12

==>C.S.A. of circular pipe = 2 × 22 × 0.5 × 12

==>C.S.A. of circular pipe = 44 × 6.0

==>C.S.A. of circular pipe = 264 cm² .

Now, Calculate

==> Volume of circular pipe = π × d²/4 × h

where,

  • d = 7 cm
  • h = 12 cm

keep all above Values

==> Volume of circular pipe = 22/7 × 7²/4 × 12

==> Volume of circular pipe = 22 × 7/4 × 12

==> Volume of circular pipe = 22 × 7 × 3

==> Volume of circular pipe = 231 × 3

==> Volume of circular pipe = 693 cm³

Hence

  • C.S.A. of circular pipe = 264 cm² .
  • Volume of circular pipe = 693 cm³
