Let the length and breadth be 5x and 3x respectively.

Now, according to the question we are given the perimeter of the field and we have to find out the dimensions i.e., length and breadth of the field. So we will use the formula 2(L+B) to find out the dimensions.

➙ Perimeter = 2(L+B)

➙ 128m = 2( 5x + 3x )

➙ 128m = 2 × 8x

➙ 128m = 16x

➙ x = {\bold{\dfrac{128}{16}}}

➙ x = {\bold{\dfrac{\cancel{128}}{\cancel{16}}}}

➙ x = 8m

Now ,

Substituting the value of x , we get :-

5x = 5 × 8 = 40m

5x = 5 × 8 = 40m 3x = 3 × 8 = 24m

Hope it helps .....
