Answer:

between 10 cm and 2 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

The length of the third side always depends on the sum and difference of the other two sides. Hence, the required length of the third side would lie between 10 cm and 2 cm.

Solution:

Sum of any two sides > third sides

two sides are 4 cm & 6 cm

let say third side is  a cm

a + 4  > 6

a + 6 > 4   ( this is always true as 6 > 4)

4 + 6 > a

a + 4  > 6

=> a > 2

4 + 6 > a

=> 10 > a

2  < a  < 10

if sides are integral values only

then  3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 , 9

otherwise ( 2 , 10 )     from 2 to 10 ( excluding both )

between 2 & 10 cm - measure of third side will fall.
