\sf{Given:}

  •  length of two sides of a triangle are 4cm and 6cm

\sf{To\; Find :}

  • between what two measure should the length of the third side fall

\sf{Solution:}

____________________________________

Sum of any two sides > third sides

two sides are 4 cm & 6 cm

let say third side is  a cm

a + 4  > 6

a + 6 > 4   ( this is always true as 6 > 4)

4 + 6 > a

a + 4  > 6

=> a > 2

4 + 6 > a

=> 10 > a

2  < a  < 10

if sides are integral values only

then  3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 , 9

otherwise ( 2 , 10 )     from 2 to 10 ( excluding both )

between 2 & 10 cm - measure of third side will fall.
