Solution!!

The perimeter and length of the rectangle is given in the question. We have to find the breadth and the area of the rectangle.

We will find the breadth first by using the perimeter formula of the rectangle.

Perimeter = 230 cm

Length = 70 cm

Perimeter = 2(Length + Breadth)

230 cm = 2(70 cm + Breadth)

230 cm ÷ 2 = 70 cm + Breadth

115 cm = 70 cm + Breadth

115 cm - 70 cm = Breadth

Breadth = 45 cm

Now that we have the breadth, we can easily use the area formula of the rectangle and calculate the area.

Area = Length × Breadth

Area = 70 cm × 45 cm

Area = 3150 cm²

Perimeter of Rectangle =2(L+B)

230 = 2(70+ B)

230= 140+2B

230-140 =2B

90/2 cm = B

Breadth = 45cm

Area of Rectangle =L×B

= 70×45

= 3150cm²
