3. The perimeter of a triangle is 288 m and the ratio
of the sides is 3:4:5. Find the area of the triangle.​

Answer:

let,

a=3x

b=4x

c=5x

therefore, 3x+ 4x+ 5x=288m

=> 12x= 288m

=> x=288÷12

hence x = 24m

put the value of x in a,b,c

a=36m

b=48m

c=60m

by herons formula,

root under, s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)

let s= a+b+c÷2

s=144÷2

s=71m

now put the value in heron's formula

therefore,

root under 71(71-36)(71-48)(71-60)

root under71×35×23×11

area of triangle = 792.9
