Since it is given that the ratio of ages of X and Y is 6:5, their ages can taken as 6a years and 5a years respectively.

Given their product is 30. Hence 6a(5a) = 30. Hence 30 a^2 = 30. So a=1.

Hence age of Y which has been taken as 5a = 5(1) = 5 years.
