Given:

  • The ratio of the areas of two squares is 16:25

To Find:

  • The ratio of their perimeter is

Solution:

we know that,

\large{\sf{\fbox{\green{Area\:of\:square={side}^{2}}}}}

 \:  \:  \sf \implies \: ratio  \: of \: side =  \sqrt{ \frac{25}{16} }  =  \frac{5}{4}

We know that,

\large{\sf{\fbox{\green{Perimeter\:of\:square=4 ×side}}}}

 \:  \: \sf \implies \: ratio \: of \: perimeter =  \frac{4 \times 5}{4 \times 4}  =  \frac{5}{4}

Concept:

1.Here we have to find ratio of sides in area so we know that area = (side)^2.So if we have to find side then we can under root area.And here we have to find in the form of ratio so we can do by fractional method.

2.After finding side of area then we have to find perimeter of square and we know that perimeter= 4 ×side and here also find the ratio in the form of fraction.
