Let the initial radius of the sphere be r.

So the original volume of the sphere would be= [4(pi)(r^3)]/3 ------ A

Now after the radius of new sphere is doubled, its radius becomes 2r.

Volume of new sphere= [4(pi)(2r^3)]/3

= [4(8)(pi)(r^3)]/3 ------ B

Percentage increase = [{New volume - original volume}/(Original volume) ] *100

Therefore Percentage increase = [{eqn B- eqn A}/(eqn A)] * 100

= [ {(4)(7)(pi)(r^3)/3} / {4(pi)(r^3)/3}] * 100

= 700 %
