let xy be the number

x in the tenths place and y in the ones place

given

x+y= 8. then x= 8-y

it is given that

(10y+x)-(10x+y) = 18

10y-y -10x+x = 18

9y - 9x = 18

9(y-x) = 18

putting x=8-y in 9(y-x) =18 we get

9(y-8+y) =18

9(2y-8) = 18

2y-8 = 2

2y= 10

y=5

it is given that x= 8-y thus

x= 8-5

x=3

thus the required number is 35

Answer: 35

take number as xy

x+y=8                                        ->1

(10*x)+y+18 = (10*y)+x             ->2

from 1 & 2 we get x=3;y=5

hence 35
