or, 3x + 3 = 48

or, 3(x+1)=48

or, x+1 =48÷3

or, x = 16- 1

therefore, x = 15

so x= 15

and x+1=15+1=16

and, x+2=15+2=17

thus, the numbers are 15,16 and 17.
