Answer:

Let the three consecutive numbers be

x , x + 1 , x + 2

their sum is 72

therefore ,

x + x + 1 + x + 2 = 72

3x + 3 = 72

3x = 72-3

x = 69/3

x = 23

therefore first number is 23

second number is 24

third number is 25
