1) Firstly, we have removed the inverted commas on the sentence.
2) Next we have changed "said" as "told".
3) Then we have inserted the appropriate conjunction "that" before the direct statement.
4) The tense of the reported statement should be in past perfect tense if the direct statement is in present perfect tense. So we have changed 'has written' to 'had written'.
5) Finally we ended the statement with a full stop and now, it's done !!
