Answer:

Suppose, the radius of the cylinder r cm

and height h cm

NOW,

2πr(h+r) = 3872

or, 2×(22/7)×14(h+14) = 3872

or, h+14= 3872×7/(22×2×14)

or, h = 44-14

or, h = 30

:• the hight is 30 cm

Given :

  • Total Surface Area of a Cylinder is 3872cm².
  • Radius of Cylinder is 14cm.

To Find :

  • Height of Cylinder

Solution :

\longmapsto\tt{Radius(r)=14cm}

Using Formula :

\longmapsto\tt\boxed{T.S.A\:of\:Cylinder=\pi{{r}^{2}h}}

Putting Values :

\longmapsto\tt{3872=2\times\dfrac{22}{\cancel{7}}\times{\cancel{14}}(14+h)}

\longmapsto\tt{3872=88(14+h)}

\longmapsto\tt{\cancel\dfrac{3872}{88}=14+h}

\longmapsto\tt{44-14=h}

\longmapsto\tt\bold{h=30}

So , The height of Cylinder is 30cm...

  • C.S.A of Cylinder = 2πrh
  • T.S.A of Cylinder = 2πr(r+h)
  • Volume of Cylinder = πr²h
