3. The upper arm of a man has two muscles ‘X’ and ‘Y’ on its two sides. The upper ends of both the muscles are
attached to the same fixed bone called Z by tendons. When the muscle ‘X’ contracts and the muscle ‘Y’ relaxes
then the arm gets straightened. On the other hand when the muscle ‘Y’ contracts and muscle ‘X’ relaxes then the
arm bends.

(b) What is the fixed bone ‘Z’ known as?
