Solution - Velocity of a wave in fluid medium, bulk modulus and density are related to each other as - v =√(B/p). In the formula, v is velocity, B is bulk modulus and p is density.

Bulk modulus - 2000 N/mm² = 2*10⁹ N/m²

Keeping the values in equation-

v =√(2*10⁹/965)

v =√2072538.86

v = 1439.63 = 1440 m/s.

Hence, the correct option is 1440 m/s.
