3. There are 20 cards in a box, each bearing one
of the numbers from 1 to 20. Find the
probability of the event that the card drawn
(i) shows a prime number.
(ii) shows a number which is a multiple of 3.

Total no. of cards = 20

i) P ( a prime no.) = 8/20

= 2/5

ii) P ( no. which is a multiple of 3) = 6/20

= 3/10
