But why ?

• First of all, iron ploughs are more stronger than wood and hence can be used to easily plough the field (i.e. break the soil, putting of crop residues and removal of weeds).

• Secondly, iron is more easily available. It is discouraged to cut down more amount of trees for preparation of wooden ploughs.

• The cost of acquiring iron for production of metallic ploughs are much less as compared to the production cost for wooden ploughs. Hence, iron is cheaper.

• So, all the reasons are correct !
