Let the nums be x, y & z. (x>y>z i.e z is smallest)

according to question,

difference of largest and smallest nums i.e. x-z is added to third (i.e. other) num.

Doing that we get,

ResultantNum = y + (x - z)

Now, again from question,

1/3 of ResultantNum = (avg. of x,y,z) - 14

=> (y + x - z)/3 = (x+y+z)/3 - 14

=> x + y - z = x + y + z - 42

=> 2z = 42

=> z = 21 i.e. smallest number.
