Let the number of boys be x

Therefore,

Number of girls = x + 10

Total number of students = 52

x + x + 10 = 52

2x + 10 = 52

2x = 52 - 10

x = 42/2 = 21

No. of boys = x = 21

No. of girls = x + 10 = 21 + 10 = 31
