Aim to show how water moves from Roots to other parts of the plant

Material required

• a beaker
• stem with the white flower or a celaery stem
• red or any food colour
• water

procedure

1. Silk third fourth of beaker with water
2. add 10 to 20 drops of red food colour to the water
3. places celery stem to the beaker and keep it aside for 4 to 5 hours
4. after 5 hours but this time diagonally and observe if there is change of the colour of stem

red colour can be seen inside the stem
