Given: The ratio of A's revenue and B's revenue = 2:3

           A's profit = P480,000

The ratio of A's profit and revenue = 3:8

To find: Contractor A's revenue

Solution: The ratio of contractor A's revenue and contractor B's revenue will be of no use to us for finding out contractor A's revenue.

Here we have A's ratio of profit:revenue = 3:8.

And we also know contractor A's profit = P480,000.

Therefore according to the question,

profit:revenue = 3:8

⇒ 480,000/revenue = 3/8

⇒ revenue = 480,000/3 × 8

⇒ revenue = 160,000 × 8

⇒ revenue = 1,280,000

Hence, contractor A's revenue = P1,280,000.

Answer: Option A. P1, 280,000
