Answer:

3/4(x + 1) = 1/2(5 - 2)

3/4x + 4 = 1/6

18 = 4x + 4

Answer:

 \frac{3}{4} (x + 1) =  \frac{1}{2}(5 - 2) \\  \frac{3}{4}x +  \frac{3}{4}  =  \frac{1}{2}  \times 3 \\   \frac{3}{4} x +  \frac{3}{4}  =\frac{3}{2}  \\    \frac{3}{4} x =  \frac{3}{2} -  \frac{3}{4}  \\  \frac{3}{4} x =  \frac{6 - 3}{4}  \\  \frac{3}{4} x =  \frac{3}{4}  \\ x =  \frac{ \frac{3}{4} }{ \frac{3}{4} }  \\ x =  \frac{3}{4}  \times  \frac{4}{3}  \\ \large{\boxed{ x =  { \underline{ \underline{1 }}}}}
