  • Metalloids have properties which intermediate between that of Metals and Non metals. They are neither a conductor nor a insulator. They are semi-conductors.

Eg- Boron, Silicon, Germanium

  • Element is the purest form of matter, i.e it consists of only a single type of atom. It is different from compounds as compounds are made up of 2 or more elements which are chemically bounded.
