If ammonia is not excreted from the body, it gets build up in brain and brain n cells.

Explanation:

Effects of high ammonium concentrations in body: -

  1. Confusion
  2. Tiredness
  3. Damage to brain cells
  4. Possibly coma or death.

So it is really important that ammonia present in our body gets converted into urea time to time and gets excreted. This can happen when kidney stops working properly and ammonia is not converted into urea so there is high concentration of ammonia in blood.
