Answer:

When little or no rain falls, soils can dry out and plants can die. When rainfall is less than normal for several weeks, months, or years, the flow of streams and rivers declines, water levels in lakes and reservoirs fall, and the depth to water in wells increases.

Answer:

rain is really important for us, if there is no rain we would suffer a lot and things will become quite difficult for us. important . if there is no rain then the water content may decrease day by day. all the greenery will be disappeared and earth became a desert. water catchment areas and reservoirs will dry off and rivers may stop flowing and become bare river beds. Plant species will lack water for growth and will subsequently wilt and on further lack of rain, plants and vegetation will soon die off and the animals that depend on plants and vegetation will follow suit. And if the rain still doesn't fall, animals that depend on other animals will also die. This gradually goes up the chain and soon all terrestrial animals die,(including man of course). If the rain ceases for a longer period, then maybe (really hard though to happen), the seas and the oceans and the eco-system in them dies off. And the world remains without any living thing, but if and only if the lack of rain persists.
