c) ACIDS + BICARBONATE = SALT + WATER + CARBON DIOXIDE

d) ACIDS + BASE = SALT + WATER

e) ACIDS + METAL OXIDES = SALT + WATER

I am in tenth , and have just studied the chapter

Answer:

Explanation:

(a) Acid, when reacts metals gives out Salt and hydrogen.

For Example:

Mg(s) + 2HCL(aq) -------> MgCl2(aq) + H2(g)

Acid, when reacts with Carbonates give out Salt, CO2 and water.

When reacts with Bicarbonates also forms salt, water and CO2

NaHCO3 + HCl -------> NaCl + H2O + CO2(g)

When reacts with base form salt and water

Mg(OH)2 + 2HCL -------> MgCl2 + 2H2O

when react with metal oxides, give Water and salt (Metal oxides are usually basic)

MgO + 2HCL ------------> MgCl2 + H2O

hope this helps ☺️
