Answer:It's an heating of a material from the electric arc when an electric energy is being produced.

In direct arc furnace charge act as one of electrode and electrodes are produced by heating.

In this radiation is charged solely by the heated transmission.

Advantages of Indirect transmission:-

It requires less maintenance cost.

It is not very much expensive.

Answer:

arc heating is the subjection of a material directly to heat ,from an electric arc.

an electric arc has very high temperatures and very high concentration of heat energy.

the difference between an indirect and a direct arc furnace is that in a direct arc furnace, heat is subjected DIRECTLY to the material being heated while an indirect arc furnace, the arc burns above the charge thus is not direct and it doesn't form a part of the electrical circuit.

ADVANTAGES OF INDIRECT ARC FURNACE.

1.it lead

s to low metal losses

2.its flexible

3.it is economical to carry out.
